Transfer of Out-of-State CDL
Upon moving to Utah you have up to 30 days to transfer your out-of-state CDL to a Utah CDL. Transferring is quite simple, you will need to take your current CDL, your Social Security card, two documents showing proof of your Utah residence address, and your DOT Medical card or long form. You will need to fill out an application, have your vision screened, take the Utah jurisdictional test, and if you have the hazmat and/or school bus endorsements you will be required to pass those endorsement test(s) as well.
